Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right!

Resilience, strength and self worth, were the consistent feelings when we asked our homeworkers what they had learnt from 2021.

Many are also proud of the discovery of the diversity of their individual skills and abilities. Trying new things have led to some of the proudest moments that will make their business bigger and stronger in the future.

“I am proud to be resilient, know my worth, and become a stronger person.”- Ally Streeter

“In 2021 I finally sat in front of customers again after 13 years! I realised I needed new customers even more than ever and thanks to a friend opening a cafe and meeting space, the perfect opportunity came along.
This is a huge milestone for me, I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and really enjoy my days there now. I’ve had a couple of bookings and it’s as much about raising my profile locally which it’s definitely doing.” – Sarah McCulley

“Launching my own awesome website” – Gill Stewart

I am still beaming with pride having won 2 prestigious travel awards during the most challenging time in international travel in history! It will take a lot to beat this.” – Jo Shayler – Tarrant

Breathing this all in, and looking forwards out towards the horizons of 2022, our homeworkers positive attitudes are inspiring:

“People don’t want to put their lives on hold any longer.  We took travel for granted before but now I think we’re all realising we have to seize the day! Holidays are absolutely becoming more about service then price.  This has always been what travel agents have offered and talked about but the last 2 years have allowed customers to see that more tangibly.” Toni Sharp

“I have had a fantastic 6 months in the HP team – the welcome, the support, and ultimately proved to myself my own business will be successful. I am going into 2022 with my head held high and a spring in my step! Onwards and Upwards…” Elaine Price

One of our newest agents said: “There is no doubt I have apprehensions about the year ahead but certainly feel better today than before Christmas – so that’s good!  My goal would be to start to build a profitable travel business.  I am under no illusions that it will be hard and won’t happen overnight – we all have to start somewhere!” Andrea Halford

“2020 Happened, over it. 2021 learnt from it, 2022 let battle commence.” Jo Whyman
